We at the Trantham 12 Aprils Dairy are proud to announce that we’re now offering a full tour of the farm and creamery. The farm has been operating since 1979 and people often have requested to be able to come and see what it takes to run a dairy. Since we bottle our own milk, we are able to offer more to see than on most typical dairies.

We are the only bottling plant in the world located in a Harvestore silo. Your group can actually see the “Got Milk” process from beginning to end. Our tours are sure to be educational with a touch of good ol’ farm fun!

While touring, your group will take a trolley ride to see our lush grazing paddocks. You’ll also see our milking parlor where our “girls” work. Lastly we’ll take a look at where the milk is bottled and sold. And of course a sampling of the milk is a must.

We’re excited about what’s going on at Trantham 12 Aprils Dairy. We hope you will come and let us share what we feel will be a field trip your group will remember for years to come.

2010 Regular Tour Schedule
Tours are available in April - May and September -November, Tuesday - Friday. Tours will be scheduled at 9:30 am and 11:30 am. Occasionally, Saturday tours are scheduled and open to the public. (i.e. Heritage Corridor Tours and Slow Foods Tours) These will be announced on our website and on our Facebook page. Because this is an outside event, the weather will affect the scheduling or cancellation of tours. We must have a minimum of 20 people per tour. If you have a family or smaller group, you will be scheduled with another group with availability.
There is a $5 fee per person.

Strawberries are available for picking starting in late April through May and pumpkins in the fall. We also have ice cream for your group to enjoy while visiting the farm. These items must be pre-ordered at the time that the tour is set up. There is an additional fee to purchase the strawberries, pumpkins, and ice cream. Ice cream is $1. Strawberry and pumpkin prices are based on current market price and established when they are in season.

2010 Summer Tour Schedule (June - August)
Tours will be scheduled during the summer on Wednesday and Thursday. Tour times will be scheduled between 10:00 am and
1:00 pm. Tours must be scheduled and confirmed in advance by Ashley Trantham. The cost of the tour is $5.00 per person. Children 2 yrs and under are free. If scheduling a group tour, the group must be a minimum of 20 paying people. If scheduling for families or individuals, we will place you with the first tour that has availability.

The tour consists of a trolley ride, tour of the milking barn and the creamery, and sampling milk. We are a working farm therefore there may be occasions when we are not able to accommodate touring certain areas.
